In this DLC I was given the freedom to work on the things I thought were missing in the games animations. one of the first things I wanted to add to were the onboard train seated animations, as all the characters sat in exactly the same position, which looked uniform and un-natural. Adding some chaos to this with the type of train connected to this DLC really did make a huge difference. I also created other dioramas such as laptop typing, watching films on a phone, phone scrolling, couples dioramas (both M/F, F/F & M/M). I also got to implement accessories such as Backpacks, laptops, glasses, Earphones and headphones & tablets. All of this together made a massive difference to the passenger variety on the platforms that both my collages and the beta testers praised. I hope the players like it as much as we do

Here's some of the animations I did for Train Sim World 4 running in the game. These include the new metahuman rig & legacy humanIK character rigs.

These are the animations i worked on for train sim world 4 in isolation.

During the Early Days of TSW4 we went through a lot of R&D with the metahuman rig and its face rig, This is one of the first face animation tests I did with it, this was 1 half of a conversation between two people, the conversation would go along the lines of 'heyyyyy, how are you?....(person two I'm fine, you look great today)..... thank you'. The face rig didn't make it into TSW4 due to getting that optimised for our engine, but it was a useful test to run through.

During the production of TSW4 we went through a lot of R&D with the metahuman rig and its face rig. This was one of the initial face animation tests I did with the rig. The brief was to make an idle for someone standing on the platforms in game. It wasn't final and needs a lot of improvement but was a useful test to go through. Sadly the face rig did not make it into TSW4 due to engine optimisation struggles and lack of technical help.

I was tasked with cleaning up some motion capture animation for a phone call animation in maya, this was originally un used but is something I actually pushed to go in near the end of development on TSW4. Once the animation was cleaned up, it was then split up into sequence animations ‘picking up the phone’ ‘friendly conversation’ ‘heated conversation’ & ‘ending the call’. These were added to the games existing state machine along with the suitcase and briefcase animations.

This was a set of motion capture data clips all imported into maya and cleaned up to better suit our rigs proportions, then was all strung together seamlessly. This was for an advertisement campaign dovetail games did with pringles where players would compete to be in the game, this was for the announcement stream for the winner. The character can be found in game on one of the stations.

These are the diorama animations I was tasked with creating for the peak Forrest DLC, for this I had to create a simple rig for the newspaper aswell, that would work in the engine and with the existing characters in game. I was tasked with making new cabin animations for this project, as the layout of the train cab had changed.

This is a small side project I had going on after work. I'm happy with how the character animation turned out. Lip sync is a little bit limited due to how simple the lip controls are. Awesome rig though, check it out!
